Software Cloud Engineer
Full-time & permanent position | Starting immediately

As a Software Engineer Cloud*, you will act as a technical contact person and work closely with our customers
to provide them with optimal support on their journey to the cloud. This involves analyzing existing
systems, defining migration strategies and setting up and adapting the environment in the cloud for
the customer. You will help customers to overcome technical and organizational challenges when
moving to the Google Cloud and train the various teams in how to deal with them. Your challenge is
to optimize and automate the cloud infrastructure for the customer so that the operation of network,
virtual machines, containers or other cloud technologies becomes even easier.

Your role

• You take over the implementation of cloud infrastructures and systems in the areas of identity and access management, network, server operation and monitoring and support automation via IaC (terraform)
• You are responsible for the implementation of hybrid system architectures
• You train our customers on cloud technologies by creating concepts and supporting their implementation
• You contribute your ideas to the development of proof of concepts
• You create automations using Infrastructure as Code or CI/CD pipelines to bringapplications to life
   

What you should bring with you

• You have a degree in computer science, mathematics or similar with a focus on infrastructure management, network technology, security or similar
• You already have experience in infrastructure operations (ideally in cloud technologies) and in working with customers
• You have basic knowledge of routing, networks, server systems and operations
• You have already had initial contact with the areas of automation and container technologies
• Open source projects, ideally with Kubernetes, are not new territory for you

What you should bring with you
